Miriam Rosas obtained a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Barcelona (UB) in 2011. She followed up with a master's in Biomedical Research, completed at Pompeu Fabra University in 2012. She then commenced work at IrsiCaixa, combining this with a master's in Pathogenesis and AIDS Treatment, obtained from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2014. Since then, she has worked as a pre-doctoral researcher in the Host Genetics and Cellular Immunity Group led by Dr. Christian Brander.
Her main research focus is the study of immunological markers that predict viral rebound after therapeutic vaccination against HIV-1. In particular, she has been involved in the characterization of the immunological response of T-cells specific to HIV protectors in the context of host immunity and the implications for viral evolution and immunological evasion.
